# Manage Projects in the Dashboard

Use the **Dashboard** to find, organize, and open your pattern projects.

## Find a project

Narrow the list with the available gender, Pattern Type, and grading filters. Select **Clear Filters** to return to the unfiltered list.

Use the star on a project card to mark a favorite. The dashboard provides views for recent, starred, and archived projects. Tags help you group projects by your own working categories.

## Edit project details

1. Open **Options** on the project card.
2. Select **Edit Project Details**.
3. Update the project details and tags, then save your changes.

To work on the pattern, open the project card or choose **Open** from its menu.

## Archive and restore projects

Choose **Archive** from the project card's **Options** menu and confirm. You can find the project again in the archived view.

To resume working on an archived project, open its **Options** menu and select **Restore**.

To permanently remove an archived project, select **Delete** and review the confirmation before proceeding.

## Work with multiple projects

Enter selection mode and select the projects you want to manage. Use the action toolbar to apply the available actions, such as assigning tags or an anatomical set, archiving, restoring, or deleting projects.

Available actions depend on the selected projects and their current state. Review the selection and confirmation before applying an action to several projects.

## Browse Pattern Templates

When available in your workspace, open **Templates** to browse reusable designs and start a new project from one. The catalog offers Gender and Pattern Type filters, previews, and project creation. Select tags in the sidebar to narrow the catalog further; a template must match all selected tags. Choose **Start from this template** in a template preview to create a project with that template already selected.

## Create from an existing design

In the new-project dialog, choose **Blank project**, **From template** when available, or **From reference project**. To capture a supported project's current design as a saved reference, use **Use as reference** on its active project card.

## Compare two projects

Click **Compare** beside the project-list controls to compare the calculated editable measurements of two active projects with the same Pattern Type. Search by name or code, select both projects, and choose **Compare projects**.

The read-only table shows values side by side and their numeric difference. Search for a measurement or enable **Show only differences** to focus your review. See [Compare Projects](/manage-a-project/compare-projects.md) for selection rules and how to read the results.
