# Work on a Shared Project

Project presence helps you identify other users working on a pattern. Available collaboration features depend on your active subscription.

## Check who is working on a project

When presence indicators are available, use the user avatars to see who is connected to the project.

## Respond to “Pattern already in use”

If another user is editing the pattern, Clab may display **Pattern already in use**, with the current editor's details when available.

Coordinate with that editor before resuming work. Use **Try again** when shown, or return to the dashboard and reopen the project after the other user has finished.
