Pattern Versions

When a project is active, the Options menu gives you access to version control tools for managing pattern changes over time.

Create a Pattern Version

Click Create Version to save a snapshot of the pattern's current state — including:

  • Measurement values

  • Pattern configuration

  • All relevant settings

This is useful for keeping track of progress or testing variations without losing previous data.

Access and manage pattern versions

The Pattern Versions panel allows you to:

  • View all saved versions for the active project

  • Restore a previous version at any time

Size Reference comparison

You can set any version as the Size Reference.

When this is enabled, measurements from the reference version are shown alongside current values in the Measurements List (under Measurements Settings), allowing for easy comparison.

Example:

If your Size Reference is the finished version and you're working on a version with:

  • X shrinkage: 3%

  • Y shrinkage: 2%

…the two versions will be shown side by side in the list, making it easier to evaluate changes.

Restore a version

To revert to a previous version:

  1. Open the Pattern Versions list

  2. Select the desired version

  3. Click Restore

Clab Assistant will apply all data from the selected version to your current project.
